Absolutely I believe in this statement "demand excellence rather than meekly accepting whatever we get" These are the main thoroughfares of OUR city - I can think of several once charming towns (Orangeville for instance) where poor planning has resulted in each town looking exactly like the next - defining characteristics or desire to stop and shop - zero. Why are we still following a bland model of surface parking out front just like the inacessable Ottawa& Barton nightmare. Surface parking should be banned by the way,aesthetically but especially considering it's ability to heat up dirty rainwater and overload our wastewater sytems resulting in overflow into our lake. Outdated design - we can do better
