Dreschel's really jumped the shark this time. As he did in his hit piece against Councillor Brian McHattie before the last municipal election [1], he's allowed his desperation to make Mayor Eisenberger look bad to lead him into the realm of outright delusion. I wouldn't be surprised if this outrageous hit piece actually helps the Mayor's cause.

Also, look at how he employs slimy insinuations and emotive buzzwords to try and drape an odour over the Mayor without actually making an argument:

"a little wilted ...

"dawdled too long in the novelty store ...

"drape the core in a feather boa ...

"the faded centre of the city ...

"The idea is simply foam without beer ...

"the mayor has tossed an idea on the table from left field ...

"His last-minute, revamped proposal ... floored several councillors ...

"His failed bolt-from-the-blue proposal ... caught many flat-footed ...

"Eisenberger's no-go zone ...

"It's more like inviting people to dinner and dressing the table with cutlery but neglecting to set out plates ..."

If he spent as much time researching and developing his ideas as he spends thinking up unsupported metaphors, he might be able to develop an informed argument instead of simply phoning in the same preordained opinions from Dreschel Land, where personalities are more important than policies and affiliations are more important than arguments.
