Having the opportunity to drive a Honda hybrid, I'm not convinced their technology is ideal. It seems a little too dependent on the engine where it really shouldn't. Off-the-line acceleration is better suited for the motor, whereas Honda primarily uses the Engine, albeit behind a CV transmission which is different. It will turn off the engine when it knows you're coming to a stop, but creep forward even slightly at a light and it fires back up only to shut off soon after. It's actually a great feature for stop lights so much as you kick the creeping habit, but to do the same thing for stop signs is worrying. It'll be interesting to see what happens when everything gets a little older.
