IT is encouraging to see young people become passionate about fixing things that they believe are wrong with the world. The sad part is many of the things they devote their time to are not that important in the grand scheme of IT all.

One of the biggest problems with a strict fruit and vegetable diet these days is the severe lack of nutrients in the produce, combined with an abundance of harmful pesticides, herbicides, foreign DNA aka GMO's and residual chemicals from NPK fertilization programs that cannot be washed off.

Until agriculture cleans up their act, I would not recommend anyone eat only fruits and vegetables. When we eat animal flesh, we may take some comfort in the fact that many of the harmful substances in their vegetable-based fodder has been filtered through their organs before we eat them. Unfortunately, these animals are also subjected to chemical, hormonal and genetic manipulation as well.
