Guessing that this is a mutated version of the 99 Waterfront Shuttle (now retired for the season), which also runs to Pier 8/Discovery Centre. that stop might carry over as a matter of convenience, but more probably as a sop to Tourism Hamilton/Waterfront Trust... might have helped tap extra funding for the free service. The map leaves a lot of blanks, though -- no directional arrows, no mention of departure times. Presumably the routing will avoid cutting through Supercrawl and the Locke Street Festival, so this may be turn out to be a less-than-competitive alternative. The walk from Locke/Main to York/James is around 20 minutes; the 99 loop ran on the half-hour, and paid routes like 5/6/7 that run on a tighter schedule might be a better bet.
