I may agree with peak oil but Mr. McKillop's articles are abominations of obfuscation (e.g., "permanent peak") and do little to help his cause. His message is so convoluted it almost becomes meaningless. It appears he couldn't find succinct and simple if they fell on his head.

When you have a debate where some people cannot accept the basic concept of the world as finite, overcomplicating the debate is no solution. Peak oil is the point of maximum extraction, period. Implying peak oil has anything to do with price is nonsense. The cost of oil doesn't cause more or less oil to be in the ground.

Oh and price as the "intersection of supply and demand" no longer applies once speculation becomes a factor in price... which it is for most commodities.
