I try to avoid the two Dundurn deathtraps (at King and Main) as much as possible. If I take the bus home from McMaster and get off at Main & Dundurn, I not only have to face these two intersections, but also the stretch between Main & King on my way to Breadalbane. Should I face either of the sidewalks with their multiple exits, or should I cross the free-for-all (a.k.a. parking lot), hoping that I can make it to the storefront sidewalk? At least I could then stop at Fortino's for a coffee to calm my jangled nerves.

I have actually started getting off the bus at Metro: I know, I know, I should just walk home, but I figure walking to work in the morning is enough. I only have to face the mad cyclists (I have a bike, too) on the bridge and the 403 non-crosswalk, make a quick nod before the Cathedral, then breathe a sigh of relief as I turn left onto Breadalbane and the safety of home.

Don't even get me started about the white-knuckle ride in my partner's car at these corners!
