Raise the Hammer
The Trudeau government plans to put forward a new national climate strategy before the end of 2016. We know oil lobbyists are gearing up to weaken any attempts to take bold action, and it's up to us to make sure voices of the people are heard first.
That's why as our Members of Parliament hold nation-wide public consultations on a national strategy this spring, Hamiltonians need to be there every step of the way speaking up for a way forward that works for our communities and the planet.
If we stand together, we can push towards a bold strategy that is justice-based, respects the UN Declaration of Indigenous peoples, aligns with climate science, and commits Canada to a 100% renewable energy economy.
This is a meeting open to all interested individuals and organizations. This meeting is being organized by Environment Hamilton as part of a larger national movement. Come share your thoughts and help plan how Hamilton will be part of this larger national cause!
