From the office of the city clerk:

"Yes of course the public is welcome to attend the meetings of all Committees of the City. This one occurs at 2:30 p.m. in council Chambers the second floor of City Hall, 71 Main Street West. If you are interested in the Pan Am Games topic you may also want to consider attending the August 10th Committee of the Whole meeting it starts at 9:30 am same location. The Board of Governors sends thier recommendations onto the Committee of the Whole who then approves or amends them and sends them Council. At this point since decisions have already been made at Council they are the only ones that really have a say on the Pan Am matter although I'm sure it will be an interesting discussion tomorrow."

The meeting ended with the FF Board of Governors saying it's WH and not to put any money towards the EM. I think city council, in this case unlike perhaps other cases, will take heed of the decision today by the FF BoG.
