Family, job, pets... sleep, clean, read, write...
And hope that life somehow works out
If life didn't get in the way so often
I'd have much more time to write, no doubt

But when there's been no chance to write
I don't curse life or wife or shout or pout
Because if not for life and all its business
There'd be nothing much to write about

Right, Life?
Right

Kevin Somers is the author of a satire, I'm Gretzky, You're Gretzky (find it here). He is the editor of The Hobo Line, a magazine by and for Fred Heads. He also writes about fashion for The Women's Post.
