I used to buy a coffee at Baroli's most days, and I have a few ideas on why it didn't last. * It didn't open onto the street. Cafe's are part of street culture, not mall culture. * It was not in a high traffic part of the mall. * Those few potential customers who did pass were on their way to work, so they didn't feel like sticking around and enjoying the ambiance. * People who wanted a coffee in a hurry already had plenty of 'fast-food' coffee chains to choose among. It's too bad, because Baroli really did make a good cup of coffee. Not as good as Cafe Don Jorge (downstairs in the Market under the up escalator), but better than Tim's or Country Style, and open early every day.
