Of course parkings are terrible and that's why i suggested enacting better property standards and building design standards.
How about one that says you can't demolish a building until you have site plan approval for the new building?
There are ways around this other than a Heritiage Designation. You only go the HD route if you actually think the building structure is worthy of designation.
You don't designate something a Heritage location just because you don't want a parking lot....!!
