Ride to Conquer Cancer

Finally, Dustin Blais lost his nephew Daniel to leukemia without warning in December 2003. Daniel was a musician, and his friends raised $10,000 for leukemia research the next year in a beneft concert called "Rock for a Cause".

Dustin wants to do his part as well. He has committed to raising $3,200 for leukemia by raising pledges to cycle 200 km over two days as part of the inaugural Ride to Conquer Cancer for Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto.

As Dustin says, "I'm no musician but I can ride a bike and with the practice I've been doing, I will gladly be able to bike the 200+km for Daniel." Visit the website to make a pledge to Dustin's ride.

Don't forget the Hamilton Pride Festival, either. It's been running since last weekend, but the rally, parade and party at Pier 4 park are this weekend. www.hamiltonpride.com
