Published October 12, 2005

I just received this notice from David Cohen:

The First Annual Spirit of Red Hill Lecture will take place on Wednesday, November 9, at 7:30 p.m. at the First Unitarian Church, 170 Dundurn South.

The featured speaker will be the architect Donald Schmitt, a principal in the internationally-renowned firm Diamond+Schmitt Architects Inc. Mr. Schmitt and his firm are the design consultants for the McMaster Innovation Park on the former Camco site.

Mr. Schmitt will, of course, talk about the McMaster project, but he will also be address urban design and other issues concerning Hamilton as a whole.

The Friends of the Red Hill Valley is organizing the event, which is being co-sponsored by the Hamilton and Burlington Society of Architects.

We'd very much like to see as many of you as possible at the first of what we hope will become a significant annual event on the Hamilton calendar.

For more information, contact David Cohen at telephone (905) 577-1029.
