The City of Vancouver has added a bike route detour update to its open data web service, while the City of Hamilton still struggles to add bike routes.

By the way, Vancouver also has a cycling hotline.

Hamilton's bike route detours? "cyclists dismount and cross via sidewalk" (or similar) as seen on the Main st/403 bridge. I'm waiting for "motorists turn off engine and push vehicle via bike lane" when they renovate the other side.
