This is a great article. Well done, Karl.

I've never understood the fascination with Limeridge Mall as a "transit hub." It's the total opposite of transit-oriented development, and it's far away from every other major potential trip generator on the Mountain (Mohawk College, Juravinski Hospital, St. Joe's West 5th, and the airport are the ones that come to mind.)

The easiest way to bring higher-order transit to the Mountain would be LRT/BRT from Mohawk College to MacNab, with a transit-only James Mountain Road. John St. could accommodate the car traffic displaced from James. Wouldn't even lose lane capacity -- at present one lane each on James and John is more or less taken up by buses anyway.

Mohawk College is a way more sensible transit hub than Limeridge.
