As I said in my last article (I told you so!) you simply don't get the same excitement (and ridership) with buses.

LRT becomes a part of the tangible infrastructure of the town and thus, an integral part of it's identity. People in LRT towns take pride in their streetcars, just like Hamilton used to do with it's old trolley's.

Hamilton has the density in many of it's existing transit corridors, and the potential to leverage the economic benefits of LRT links. I struggle to understand what it holding the city back.
