I have been living in Dubai ever since 2007. I have seen the period right before the big crash. Slavery is everywhere. I was shocked to see the amount of corruption and bad things in the country. Amsterdam is supposed to be liberal, but the people know how to deal with those liberties. In Dubai you have more prostitutes then all the European countries combined together. I was ashamed to receive my guests in hotels, since they would turn into a brothel at night. A traveler once said: "In Europe I saw Islam, but no Muslims. In the Arabian peninsula (the birth place of Islam, I saw Muslims, but no Islam". This for sure applies to Dubai. Foreigners simply do not have any rights. I had an argument with a local driver once, since he was driving like a madman and put my life at risk. This trucking prick literally said: "I'm a local. I can have you deported this afternoon". NOBODY I know intends to stay in Dubai. They are just there for a short period. That includes me. I hate this place to the bone. No nice people. No justice. No law.
