I agree downtown Hamilton needs to stop being a dumping ground for every social services out there. The City should give the Salvation Army money to move their shelter on York Boulevard to another location, well at least out of the downtown area. Don't get me wrong I do believe we need shelters in Hamilton but having a homeless shelter in the heart of downtown Hamilton is not suitable. Just as you're trying to get the city to have long term plans to stop sprawl the City is pushing ahead with another Meadowlands Centre at Stoney Creek Mountain on Rymal road :-/. Sure the Greenbelt plan will help but it'll take years for Hamilton to finally reach the boundary limits to stop further sprawl.
