I think the Concession Street area is a prime example of a grid style suburb. It has treelined streets where children play road hockey and is about a ten minute walk to Concession, Queensdale, Brucedale, and any other large cross street. The retail component on those other streets has vanished with the development of Limeridge Mall, but it still remains a viable option when considered just out of the core. Sub Urban settings. They have declined much like their lower city counterparts, but are still very sought after neighbourhoods in a changing environment.

Perhaps the old town of stoney creek counts like that too. Modern suburban settings are caught up in very Radiant City type creations.
