I agree with Mr. Butani's asessment that the Liberal Arts Building would be a more worthy battle than trying to keep the Board of Ed downtown. However, I am not convinced that this building is badly built as he implies. Based on its architectural beauty alone, I believe that it should be saved. Not having the pleasure of working for that Board, I have never been in the building, so I don't have much to go on. My understanding is that they haven't maintained the building at all, since they have always planned to move. From what an employee has told me, they haven't so much as painted a wall in that old building. I would say shame on the board, but Mahesh summed it up better than I could, with "It is no longer a living institution, it has become a dead weight of bureaucracy and intrigue." - awesome
