And I have to point out, Ryan, that it wasn't just 'the policies of the 1950s that transformed the downtown into what we're faced with today.' All kinds of factors contributed to what we see before us these days. Some are wilfully overlooked, some aren't the sort that commenters are aware of, some are still argued against.
But I'm petty sure you already knew that. Right...?
