Nanny state, nanny state, nanny state.
It seems ridiculous to me that politicians and bureaucrats are the ones attempting to ram casinos down our throats as a panacea for the fact that they can't get their spending habits and program creep under control, while other politicians and bureaucrats try to regulate the government prescribed solution to their own problem.
It should not be the states problem if you cannot control your gambling impulses. For that matter gambling, drinking, drugs.
You need to be an adult to do these things. That would indicate a certain level of personal responsibility and self awareness. Screw it up to your own detriment......... your problem. Hurt someone else, physcially, financially? Then it becomes someone else's business. The Police.
