Love this piece. Was just down there the other day looking at the lighthouse and cottage, wondering when we will fix it up. I don't think it should be moved, but restored right on site.

Other cities would have a funky, fun waterfront cafe/restaurant there with seasonal patio overlooking the water and all the maritime activity coming and going. Hamiltonians by and large seem to shun restaurants/eateries that are off the beaten path or in non mega-parking lot locations. Such a shame. This location could be a Golden Horseshoe draw. Where else can you combine a busy, beautiful beach recreational path, a massive steel freeway structure, gorgeous lift bridge and non-stop traffic of small boats, huge ships, families, fishermen etc.....

Imagine a funky, industrial-style resto serving amazing local fare and seafood dishes. http://www.b3designers.co.uk/category/bl...

And can we finally light up our bridges. High Level on York, the Skyway and Lift Bridge would look amazing in LED's http://p.ledinside.com/led/2012-06/13397...

Complete the project by making the Hamilton pier a wooden boardwalk as it was way back in the day, with benches facing the water on both sides from end to end.

Open the top of the lighthouse for public viewing and we've developed an incredible night out in a Great Lakes Industrial port.
