yes, I expect a more permanent solution after this pilot. However, some members of council made comments in the meeting about not liking the small planters shown. Some of them want staff to explore more legit means of separation. I agree. The images shown probably would have conveyed the point better with planters like these:

I'd like to see the curb placed on the traffic side, then the planters right up against it. Basically mimicking a temporary version of Vancouver's permanent design:

You'll notice that the planters are right next to a permanent curb. Let's go for the temporary version of this same idea.
