Well I know a few senior couples who have moved downtown since retiring and in both cases, it was the wife who pressured the husband to move. Losing the driver's license was a factor in at least one case, general desire for walkability the other.

Walkability is going to be THE factor in many peoples' decisions to age-in-place or move. Suburbs are not going to be the place for seniors when they lose their mobility. It's a fact.
