Fauré's Requiem is a balm of consolation. Almost indescribably beautiful, the Requiem has become one the most revered works of the late 19th century. Vaughan Williams' Mass in G minor is a suitable companion: lush and sonorous, this little known masterpiece has an intimate grandeur fit for a cathedral.
Featuring: Jennifer Taverner, soprano; Andrew Tees, bass; Michael Bloss, organ.
