No problem, I believe in open government and this was a "no-brainer" to me.

It's a taxpayer funded stadium and there's room for everyone who wants to be there.

We have a great City media policy and when our city tax dollars are being spent, we should ensure those who cover our City are able to do so.

The fact that they wanted to exclude the public is pretty damning.

True, or we can look at it as proud that Hamilton is a leader in open media and people doing business in this community simply need to be reminded of our open policies.

Are we fairly unique in this openness?

Don't get me wrong I think Joey is right to push for openness. But I also think the whole project has been hijacked by one man (Bob Young) for his personal benefit that it is sick.

It will interesting to see if there is a replacement announced for Brian Timmis (sp?) stadium lets not forget this is supposed to be an amateur sports legacy not PRO.

If there is no replacement for Brian Timmis (sp?) I can only assume that the TieCats consider themselves amateurs.

Unfortunately the Ti-cats media director has apparently announced to some fans they are not being allowed to attend, was expecting them to respect the Pan Am committee and the fans really too much?

Clarification: The unveiling at 2 pm is open to the public. The media conference held later by the Tiger-Cats at 3:30 is not.
